Sydney’s inner west has a thriving creative and independent art scene – in uenced by a rich industrial and multicultural history and an inclusive and progressive community.

Home to one of Australia’s most impressive collections of street art, the inner west is an inspiring mix of history, creativity and culture - and Perfect
Match is a ‘perfect’ opportunity to meet the creatives and discover the outdoor galleries and fascinating urban canvasses.

Perfect Match is a unique Council initiative tackling unwanted graffiti by fostering legitimate creative expression and art. Property owners are invited to nd their Perfect Match by nominating their wall to be transformed by an artist. Artists submit their designs and ideas for public art. And Council then plays cupid.

Saturday Program:

1pm – 4pm: Up Up and Away at Marrickville Bowlo

Sydney’s famous Stencil Art Prize joins forces with Marrickville Bowlo to present an afternoon of live art and music. Meet artists applying giant paste-ups, share stories and purchase prints from the art market.

1pm - 3pm: Chat with Perfect Match artists and property owners

Sunday Program: 

11am – 4pm: Shine on Camperdown

On Sunday, discover Camperdown. Take a wander or join a tour to discover the art-laden leafy backstreets between King Street and Parramatta Road. Celebrate the upgrade of Camperdown Park and Camperdown Commons. Meet the creatives who brought this wonderful hub of art, food, recreation and community lifestyle to fruition.

1pm – 3pm: Roll with It – Giant inflatable installation and workshop

Help create a fun, bold inflatable installation. Roll with It is part of Council’s Live to Create program, working with artists to educate young people about the legal and social consequences of illegal graffiti and teaching new skills of creative expression with empowering outcomes. There will be live music from local acts to inspire the crowds.
